Social Prescribing - Wellbeing Linkworkers
We have a team of Social Prescribers /Wellbeing Linkworkers at the Mission Practice. They work closely with the GPs and are up to date about many local organisations that provide free or affordable activities, services and support.
Many people say speaking to a ‘Wellbeing Linkworker’ has made them feel healthier and able to deal with challenges that affect their wellbeing. They learned about activities in Bethnal Green that they didn’t know existed, like walking groups, social groups, free exercise, debt support, welfare advice, mindfulness classes, and much more. It has helped many people decrease loneliness, anxiety, stress, depression and fatigue.
Please call us to make an appointment. Rumana speaks Sylheti, Ben speaks French and Arabic and interpreters can be arranged for other languages. Or you can self-refer via this link (link works for any GP Surgery in Tower Hamlets): Social Prescribing ‘More Than Medicine’ | GP Care Group
