Out of hours
Life threatening
Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- you or someone you know needs immediate help
- you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.
Urgent
Visit an urgent care centre if:
- You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
NHS 111
Use NHS 111 if:
- You need help now, but it’s not an emergency
There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.
Out of hours access
We run a number of clinics together with our local practices to increase the number of appointments, including appointments in the evenings and on Saturdays. We may direct you to one of these clinics (we call them Hub Appointments) in the local area.
They can see your medical notes and are perfect for issues that doesn't need a particular clinician that knows you well. Do let us know if you can't travel there.
